Bluestone Wales Review. Day Three.

January 28, 2015

I can’t believe how much we’ve actually managed to do today!

This morning it was a quite windy and very wet. I hoped it wasn’t in for the day, but luckily it brightened up by the afternoon.

We decided to spend the morning at the Blue Lagoon making use of the swimming pool, although before we’d even arrived I looked like I’d already been for a swim!

Just a tip to anyone planning on going to Bluestone. If you hire a buggy and it’s been raining, make sure you get as much water off the roof as possible before driving.

We didn’t and seeing as I sat in the back with the girls, when my husband drove off all the water from the roof poured down onto me and the girls!

Anyway! We spent about an hour in the pool which the girls really enjoyed.

We went back to our lodge for some lunch and then headed out toward Camp Smokey.

I’d seen in a leaflet we were given that there was a free hours session in the woods where you could meet Huwie the Hedgehog.

We arrived a bit early so we went for a walk and jumped in the puddles!

I managed to take some lovely photos.

When Huwie the Hedgehog arrived we played hide and seek with him, helped him make a potion and a den, then we all made some rafts to float down the stream.

The girls really enjoyed it! I would definitely recommend it, even more so because it was free!

We then went for some food in the Wild Wood Cafe before making our way to the Granary at 5pm for an hour of kids free play.

We played games such as Ker Plunk, danced and listened to a story.

The girls thought it was great fun and they both took a balloon sword away with them!

Overall it’s been a busy, but very fun day.

Keep an eye out for my next post tomorrow!
