Bluestone Wales Review. Day Four

January 29, 2015

After all the fun and excitement of yesterday’s activities, we all woke up pretty tired today!

We decided to have a lazy day and avoid the pool as M has a bit of a cold.

We were going to go and have a walk around the lake as we hadn’t gone there yet, but weather wise it’s been pretty windy and wet so we decided against this!

We went to the activity centre instead and spent the morning between the circus room and the room downstairs with the bouncy castle in.

Whilst in the activity centre we booked onto toddler sensory class for the afternoon.

As with previous days we returned to our lodge for lunch.

When it was time for the toddler sensory class we made our way back to the activity centre.

This class is £7 per child and in hindsight the class really wasn’t worth the £14 we paid.

The leaflet showed it as being an hour long class, but the first 20 minutes was spent doing ‘free play’ in a room that was free to use anyway?!

So in truth the class was only 40 minutes long.

When it eventually started we sang an action song before the girls were given a washing up bowl to use as a drum whilst we sang a song.

We then held a parachute which some flashing ‘star’ toys were placed on and we watched as the stars rolled around.

The girls enjoyed chasing after the stars and throwing them back onto the parachute.

After this all the children went around the ‘obstacle course’ of benches and soft play obstacles. They had to jump up and down when they landed on a green square.

To finish the session there was music and bubbles.

The girls loved popping the bubbles, but weren’t so keen on the choice of music – queen!?

The session definitely wasn’t worth £14!

Bluestone, I think you need to look into making this class better value for money and don’t advertise it as an hour when it’s only 40 minutes!

We stayed and played in the circus room for a while longer before going to the Knights Tafern for some food and then back to our lodge for the evening.

Overall, a very lazy day! I think an early night is in order!

I've really enjoyed your review of Bluestone, and this sounds like great advice for them to improve on things. Good value for money is so important on a family holiday Zx
