Bluestone Wales. Final Thoughts.
We have had an absolutely fantastic time at Bluestone Wales this week.
Set in 500 acres of national park, it’s a truly beautiful and magical place to take a family holiday.
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. Check in was easy and all of the facilities were superb.
Would I recommend Bluestone Wales for a family holiday?
Yes!
It’s perfect for couples and families with both young and older children.
There is plenty to do for all ages.
There’s the Blue Lagoon Water Park with two swimming pools. A large one and a smaller, shallow one for toddlers which has a slide and rock pools to explore.
It also features the lazy river which goes outside and a number of water slides too.
Then there’s the activity centre which is also home to the Wild Wood Cafe.
Upstairs you have the circus room which is full of soft play, ride on bikes and giant Lego.
Downstairs you have the climbing wall, bouncy castle, play area for small and big kids, Lego, rides and amusements.
If that’s not enough there’s also a park on site.
Plus there are the free activities. We met Huwie the Hedgehog in the woods by Camp Smokey for an hour of den building, potion making and raft building.
There are lots of places you can eat too.
I really wanted to eat in the Farmhouse Grill, but they didn’t start serving food until 5pm which was a bit late for our girls.
We ate in the Wild Wood Cafe and the Knights Tafern. Both were really good value for money and the food was delicious.
Sadly we didn’t get to explore the lake due to the bad weather, but we did have a great time.
I feel like we needed another day or two to fully explore everything Bluestone has to offer.
We didn’t leave the site once because there really was no need to, but if the weather had been a bit better we might have explored the local area more such as Tenby, Anna’s Welsh Zoo etc.
The accommodation was excellent. Very clean and spacious. It provided pretty much everything you needed. We stayed in a Ramsey Lodge.
The only thing that I felt a tad disappointed with was the Toddler Sensory play. The leaflet showed as being an hour long, when in fact the first 20 minutes was free play.
It cost us £14 for both girls and although the girls enjoyed it, I didn’t feel it was very good value for money.
Overall, we’ve had a fantastic time and would definitely visit again in the summer when the weathers a bit better!

Awe that picture of you and your children with the hedgehog is lovely! I agree with you it is a lovely place and has loads of great activities too. We did totally different things to you as I don't have little ones and that is the beauty of the place, there is something for everyone.

It all looks and sounds amazing. So jealous we were invited but its too far for us to travel ( 7-8 hours) with a baby and toddler. Glad you all had a lovely time xx
