WOW Toys Advent Calendar Review
Every year my husband and I give our twin girls an advent calendar each. Filled with chocolate in various forms such as snowmen, holly and reindeers. The delight on their faces when they get to open one door a day is quite magical, but not every parent likes to give their child chocolate.
I’d heard of toy filled advent calendars before, but I didn’t really know much about them. However when WOW toys got in touch asking us to review some I was pretty keen to see what all the fuss was about!
WOW toys is a company that my husband and I love. Their battery free toys are both durable, long lasting and excellent quality so we had high hopes for their advent calendars too!
There are three versions available, Farmyard, Town and Wonderland. I chose a Town and Wonderland one to review.
Suitable for children aged one to five years, these toy filled advent calendars retail at £24.99. Each day in the lead up to Christmas reveals a cute toy which can be matched with the numbers on the fold down play scene to make your very own Christmas world.
The calendars include 24 toys. The Town and Wonderland one includes a push-along police car, a build your own tree and snowman, plus a fun-filled activity sheet!
I can imagine that both boys and girls will love collecting the new toys as Christmas approaches!
Not only are these advent calendars fun for children, they’re educational too as children can match numbers to make a play scene. They’re specially designed for pre-school years.
I was always fascinated by these toy advent calendars as I never really knew what included inside them, but now that I know I think they’re a great idea and a lovely alternative to the usual chocolate advent calendars.
Do you buy your child an advent calendar? Is it chocolate or will you be tempted with a toy filled one?
For the purpose of this review we were sent two advent calendars from WOW Toys. All views and opinions are 100% my own.

I've always liked the look of these especially since J use to be allergic to chocolate.

My son would love this as he always looks at the WOW toys at the local garden centre. They all look so well made and sturdy.

I don't like the boys to have too much chocolate so have been on the hunt for a suitable alternative advent calendar and i think i've just found it – this looks great and so much fun! Thanks for sharing. xxx #triedtested

These look really good and are a reasonable price compared to lego calendars.

These are a great alternative to the chocolate filled ones and the children end up with something to keep.
The only thing I would be wary of is the size of the toys especially if you have a smaller child in the household.

These sound like a great alternative to chocolate filled calendars and I love the number matching on the playset too. We're going for a book advent calendar this year but the toy one does look very tempting! 🙂

These look good for little ones. My boys would be too old and they always insist on chocolate advent calendars #triedtested
