Why I love my husband

Over the last year, my husband, Nigel, has written a number of posts on his blog about me so I thought it was about time that I returned the favour!

We’ve been together for over 10 years now and have been through quite a bit together. There is an age gap between us so we had to overcome our families feelings about this, as well as some other things I won’t go into.

Nigel has been there for me a lot over the years. When my mum passed away he was there for me and he’s been very supportive. 

One of the things that I love about Nigel, is his relationship with his three older children. He has a really good relationship with them all and I really admire it. His children have no problems talking to him about anything. Their relationship is very open and honest, and I hope to have a similar relationship with my own children.

Nigel is also a great dad to our three year old twins. His passion for music amazes me and I love that he’s passed this onto our girls. He plays them music and will dance around the room with them!

He’s also a great husband. He can be grumpy at times and he knows I hate it when he leaves the empty toilet roll on the holder and places the new one on top, but aside from that, he really is a wonderful husband.

He makes me laugh, he’s funny and he really does have a great sense of humour. He’s passionate about his family and he’s so hard working. He’d do anything for us.

I love him because he makes me happy. He makes me smile and I love him because of who he is.
