Yes, really as long as you do so wisely. Sometimes, by spending more money on certain things you can save yourself a lot more cash in the long-run,. One example of this would be Volkswagen servicing. By regularly servicing your vehicle, even though it would cost you a bit more, you could avoid costly repairs and breakdowns and save a bundle over time., Another example would be shoes, Buying a good pair of leather shoes that have been expertly crafted, many be a little more expensive, but they’ll last you two, three, even four times as long, which means bigger savings over time. So, when you’re looking to save money, don’t always think it means spending less and think carefully before each and every purchase.

Have a 30-day delay

When you see something you want to buy before you go ahead and purchase it, note down the details in a notebook and simply wait. If, after 30 days, you still desperately want the said item, go ahead and buy it, if not you’ve saved yourself a bundle. This may seem like a silly little thing that couldn’t possibly work, but a lot of the stuff we buy, we buy on impulse and if we give ourselves a little time, we often find that we didn’t really want it that much after all. If you automate everything from your bill payments to money being paid into your savings account, you will save money. Why? Because your savings will automatically be deducted from your current account without you having to think about it or talk yourself out of not saving anything this month AND because you’ll never remiss a payment and incur a late fee again. It’ll also give you back a lot of your time that would otherwise be spent on admin, too.

Writing to brands to tell them how much you love their products or to complain when something has gone wrong isn’t exactly the most exciting hobby, but it can pay off because a lot of brands will send you vouchers for taking the time to get in touch with them, and this could result in some pretty nice discounts for you. It’s worth a try.

Meal plan

Meal planning isn’t just a time-saver, it can save you a lot of money too. By deciding in advance exactly hat your family are going to eat each week, you can cut out those unnecessary food purchases, cut down on food waste and be a bit more organised around the house – what’s not to love?

These money-saving tips may be a little uncommon and possibly unusual, but they do work and that means they’re worth incorporating into your life.

Even if you dipped in the lowest point of your finances, it doesn’t matter how long does it take for credit repair to work. The only way is up.
