Top Three New Cars When You’re On A Budget
New year, new you, new car.
Sounds like heaven, with that gorgeous new car smell, fresh leather seats and all the latest gadgets few personal items give away as much of our personalities quite as our cars do, and in Britain, we have a fine tradition of manufacturing top of the range luxury and sporting vehicles.
But, if you’re not quite on the budget for that new Rolls Royce just yet, we’re going to look at some of the best cars in the UK today, while you wait for those winning lottery numbers to come in, or you can look at these ways to make a personal statement, with your car.
DACIA DUSTER SUV
An altogether decent SUV – for the price of a supermini. This was the promise made when Dacia launched the Duster around ten years ago and sales figures since then have been very impressive indeed. Even though the next-generation model has seen prices creep up a smidge, you’re still getting an awful lot of car for your pound. With that said, however, the basic entry-level model doesn’t come with a radio and it runs on a basic steel wheel, but at just
£12,000, you’ll be able to ‘spec up’ with anything you like.
SKODA FABIA HATCHBACK
As part of the VW group, the Fabia has many of the same features that you’d get from a VW Polo, but it undercuts the car on price. All three models present outstanding value, and the base “S” version comes with features like DAB radio, Bluetooth and LED daytime running lights. The Fabia hatchback is super practical, but if you do want a little extra space, it also offers the Estate version, one of the few superminis in the UK to offer this. This one has enough space for you to comfortably feed your baby on the backseat if the need comes.

DACIA SANDERO
Currently, the cheapest brand new car that you buy in the United Kingdom. Like in other Dacia models, their winning formula is on display with the Sandero as well. Similar in size to the VW Polo, but at a smidge of the cost. It comes with auto emergency braking, a smartphone holder, LED daytime running lights and auto headlights. So, not heavy laden with gadgets and
nice-to-haves, but like its Duster cousin, its starting price is so low that you’ll have money left over to spruce it up as much you’d like.
£8,000 for the entry-level model.
Now, there are plenty of other cars that could crack this list, so take the time to do a little shop around and see what’s going to work for you, but we love these models because they offer a lot of car for your buck, and because they’ve come in so low, you can afford to upgrade with whatever you like over time.
