Things my kids do that are acceptable, that I wish I could do, but can’t!

February 15, 2016

Being a kid is wonderful isn’t it!

You can get away with all sorts!

You don’t have any responsibilities, no bills to pay and nothing to worry about.

I sometimes I wish I could behave in the same way that my children do. The thing is though what’s acceptable for a child to do isn’t necessarily acceptable for adults to do!

For example, I wish I could declare at midday when the house is packed full of visitors, that I want to be naked and proceed to run around the room whilst undressing!

I wish I could pull out a potty in the middle of the supermarket or main road when I’m so desperate for a wee that I just can’t hold it in anymore, plonk my bum down and just let it all out!

I wish I could announce to a whole room that I’m going to fluff and that it will smell! You’ve been warned! Yet if I did that I can’t imagine the looks I’d get, but when that comes out of a three year olds mouth somehow it’s cute!

I wish I could sing out loud in the middle of play group without being judge because my favourite song is being played!

I wish I could get away with eating so much chocolate at a friends house that my face is absolutely smothered in chocolate and people still think I look adorable!

I wish I could get out all of my favourite things at once, only to turn my back on them and watch TV instead of playing with them!

I wish I could get away with wearing a yellow dress with pink wellies or with wearing tights under shorts!

I wish I could wear a party dress every day!

Oh to be a child again! What do you wish you could do that your child does?

I am all for singing loudly in groups, wear what you want and if its a party dress so what.
My girl has taught me to throw caution to the wind on peoples opinions and what is perceived as the normal behaviour. Go for it and have a day of being like them! That would make a cool blog.
