The girls first Christmas concert

For weeks they’ve given out little hints about what the concert is about, various songs that they’ll be singing and finally we found out that they were both going to be snowflakes!

R and M are quite different, personality wise. M is pretty laid back and will go with the flow. R is a bit more independent and likes to do things her way, so I was intrigued to see how the concert would go.

Parents were advised to arrive at 10.30 as the concert would start at 10.45. Wanting to get there early so that we could get good seats, my husband and I arrived at 10.15, but it seemed that many of the other parents had the same idea as there was already quite a queue forming by the time I arrived.

Once inside one of the teachers advised us what side of the stage the girls would be on so suggested we sit in the middle somewhere.

I originally chose seats in the middle, three rows back as they were the closest to the stage, but thankfully I spotted one my mum friends who had front row seats with a spare seat next to her. I quickly nabbed it and then grabbed another chair from the row behind for hubby! 

We now had front row seats! 

The area in which the children walked up onto the stage was right by where we were sitting and I did wonder if the girls would want to stay with us when they saw us instead of going onto the stage, but they were fine!

They emerged from the side of the stage dressed as snowflakes and they looked so cute!

They said hello to us and wandered onto the stage to take their places.

They joined in from beginning to end and when it was their turn to stand up and dance with the other snowflakes they did so beautifully!

I’m so proud of them and amazed that in the short space of time that they’ve been in nursery they’ve gained the confidence to stand on a stage with their peers, in front of a lot of mums and dads, and put on a wonderful performance.

One that I’ll remember and treasure forever! It’s safe to say that their first Christmas concert went very well!
