Jump, Cardiff Review

Ever since I discovered Jump existed I’ve been taking our twins on a regular basis. For those who don’t know, Jump, is a soft play type centre, situated in a warehouse in the Llanishen suburb of Cardiff.  They’ve recently made a few changes due to the expansion of the adjoining nursery which has taken over more space inside. This has meant that the popular enclosed toddler area is no more.  Something I was a bit sad about as our twins would have easily spent an hour in this area. In place of the toddler area is a long bouncy castle… [Read More]

Organising a birthday party for four year old twins!

Who would have thought that organising a birthday party for four year olds would be so stressful! R and M started nursery in September 2015 so I was pretty relived that I’d have the chance to go to a few birthday parties before I’d have to start planning our girls party. I was hoping they’d provide me with some information and inspiration about what to do. The first party was in a hall with a lot of children. I think the whole nursery class were invited. It was a joint party so I could understand the amount of children there…. [Read More]

Are you raising your kids the same way you were raised?

I don’t think many people decide how to raise their children before they’re actually born. I’m sure everyone will have their idea’s, aspirations and dreams of what they want for their children, but until they’re born and maybe not even until they’re a few years old the thought of how to raise your children may not enter your mind. The first few weeks and months are all about survival. Making sure your baby is fed and that they sleep. In addition to this making sure that you’re fed and that you get to sleep too! Just when you think you’ve… [Read More]

A trip to the farm

We recently went on a spontaneous trip to the farm and I thought I would share our experience with you! Unfortunately, Twin Daddy was working so he couldn’t come with us, but he will definitely be coming next time! It was a lovely, sunny day and although it wasn’t hot it wasn’t cold either!  Whilst the girls were having their afternoon nap, I hurriedly put together a bag of nappies, wipes, snacks and drinks before quickly searching online for the postcode of the farm so that I could enter it into the sat nav on my phone! When the girls woke up I asked them if they wanted to… [Read More]

Finding Mummy Friends

Before our twins were born I didn’t have many friends outside of work. I have my twin sister which is great but friends from school have all moved away or had families of their own and were too busy or too far away to socialise. Now that our twins are here and they’re almost 16 months old, I would love to have some mummy friends that I can meet in the park or just go places with or simply pop round for a cuppa whilst the babies play. I wonder though how do you go about making mummy friends when… [Read More]

A busy week!

Following on from my ‘Can a routine be flexible post’ I thought I would write a little update. I mentioned in that post that I would be taking the girls to the Techniquest Toddler Day. Well, we didn’t manage to go, however we did manage to fill our days with some other activities. I work Mondays and Tuesdays so I like to take full advantage of the rest of the week and try to get out and do things and go places that I think the girls will enjoy. On Wednesday we went to soft play (post all about that… [Read More]

First Trip to Soft Play

I’ve wanted to take the girls to soft play for some time now but unfortunately the local leisure center changed the time of their soft play session from the morning to the afternoon which meant we couldn’t go as it’s during our girls nap time. It took me a little while of searching online but I managed to find another soft play center about a 10 minute drive from us. So today we ventured into the world of soft play! They opened at 10am which is perfect for us as I gave the girls a snack at 9.30am and then… [Read More]
