Disneyland Hotel Review

If you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past month or so then you’ll be forgiven for not knowing that we’ve not long returned from a 5 day trip to Disneyland Paris. For the duration of our stay, we stayed in the Disneyland Hotel. As such I thought I’d write a little review about the hotel itself. I’ve already written up our trip report, which you can read here (day 1), here (day 2), here (day 3) and here (day 4)! Plus, if you’re after more Disney inspired posts, click here. I’ve also written a post called, Tips for Booking your… [Read More]

Celebrate Father’s Day with Hotel Chocolat Plus Competition!

This year Hotel Chocolat is asking ‘what do dads really want for Father’s Day?’ If you ask me, the answer is pretty simple. Like us women, we all love chocolate, but it’s often thought to be a gift that only men buy for women. Let’s change that! Hotel Chocolat have a lovely range of Father’s day gifts and I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to choose two early Father’s Day gifts from Hotel Chocolat so that I could gift them to my husband. I chose The Father’s Day Sleekster, The Father’s Day H Box and a little… [Read More]

Mum Moments Plus win a box of Hotel Chocolat Chocolates!

Mother's Day Mood Board

Mother’s day is a rather poignant day for me. When I walk around the shops and see shelves full of Mother’s Day cards, aisles full of ‘Best Mum’ teddy bears and beautiful bouquets of flowers, I can’t help but feel a little sad. You see my mum passed away when I was 18 years old. Mum was just 50 years old. She had ovarian cancer. I try not to think of the sad times though which is why when I was asked by Hotel Chocolat if I’d like to write about my favourite ‘Mum Moments’, I thought I’d share some… [Read More]

Hotel Chocolat Review

Hotel Chocolat

Who doesn’t love chocolate? Well, I imagine some people don’t, but hopefully the majority of the population do! Despite being on a health kick, I like to find the balance and treat myself now and again. I was recently sent a box of Hotel Chocolat’s Classic Christmas Sleekster and a box of Hotel Chocolat’s Toasty Toddies. The Classic Christmas Sleekster box is £22.50 and includes 30 chocolates in festive flavours. The chocolates are beautifully boxed and well presented in a gorgeous festive red and white box. I love the white and gold trees! Inside the box you’ll find a menu… [Read More]

Hotel Victoria Playa, Menorca: Review

We’ve recently returned from a weeks all inclusive holiday in Menorca. When I say ‘we’ I mean my myself, husband, our three year old twin girls, my step-son and my mother-in-law. We went to Menorca two years ago with Thomson and although the hotel was lovely, there was no kids pool or parks for them and the beach was too far away.  When looking for a hotel this time around I wanted something that adhered to the following points: 1. Not hilly as my mother-in-law is 87 so hills are a no-no!  2. A beach within walking distance so that… [Read More]

Folly Farm Review Featuring Nant-Y-Ffin

Folly Farm opened as a tourist attraction back in 1988 with a mission to educate and entertain. It’s a family run farm and to this day the whole family are still heavily involved in the running of the business on a daily basis. Folly Farm very kindly gave us tickets to visit them. We decided to make a weekend of it and also booked an overnight stay in a local family run hotel (more on the hotel to follow below as I couldn’t write this review without giving them a mention). We live in Cardiff so set off around 08.30am… [Read More]

Unusual Wedding Venues

Twin Daddy and I got married in January 2012, exactly 43 days before our twins were born. It didn’t us long to plan our wedding and within two to three months everything was set. We were engaged for around a year before we married and I love the fact that although our girls weren’t born, they were at our wedding! Twin Daddy and I always planned on getting married and I really wanted to get married before twins were born. I wanted the same surname as them! Twin Daddy and I got married in our local registry office and we… [Read More]
