Summer Holiday Checklist – Kids Edition

It’s almost summer and that means a lot of us Brits will be packing up ready for our summer holidays. Whether it be in the UK or abroad, travelling with kids can be stressful, so let me take some of the stress away by providing you with a summer holiday checklist for kids!


Passport/EHIC card
Travel games
Book(s)
Ipad/Electronic games console – make sure it’s fully charged and bring the charger too!

Nappies
Nappy rash cream
Wet wipes

Medicine – Calpol etc
First aid kid – make sure it’s well stocked!
Teething gels and aids

Plenty of dummies – why do they always going missing when on holiday?!
Bottles (bottle brush), cutlery, plates, cups
Formula
Breast pump
Meals, baby jars and snacks
Bibs
Milton sterilising tablets are a great way to sterilise bottles away from home

Swimsuit
Swim nappies
Goggles
A lightweight stroller (parasol umbrella)
UV sun tent – great for the beach
Beach ball or other pool inflatable
Towels (hooded towels/wearable towels (poncho style)
Sun cream
After sun
Insect repellent
Sunhats/sunglasses
Blanket(s)
Cool clothes such as dresses and t-shirts
Cover ups – cardigans, jumpers
Appropriate footwear

Toiletries: Baby shampoo, bubble bath, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrush, cotton buds/wool
Hairbrush/comb – I personally recommend a tangle tease!
Nail clippers
Tweezers

Plug in nightlight
Baby monitor
Portable black out blind

Picnic blanket
Travel adaptor
Earplugs

I started Twin Mummy and Daddy in 2012.  

Over time Twin Mummy and Daddy has gone from strength to strength. I write about our family life, my love for running and our passion for adventure and travel.  

We’ve also started living a more eco-friendly life. As such I also write about our zero waste journey in a bid to encourage others to think about the impact they have on the environment.

I’m a keen runner and in April 2019 I ran the London Marathon for an amazing charity called WellChild. It’s one of my biggest achievements to date. I raised over £2,000 for the charity and learnt so much along the way.

This year we’re passionate about spending time outdoors. We’ll be sharing our travel, days out and camping adventures right here on Twin Mummy and Daddy.

    Really helpful list! I always keep a huge one in the notes app on my phone which seems to grow the closer we get to going anywhere. Totally agree re losing dummies whilst away too!! #binkylinky

    Great post, I've just been putting ours together for an upcoming holiday, will share in a little while. Dummies are crazy for going missing on holiday aren't they? I remember on our first holiday with my eldest I lost about 4!
