#Saveoursausage Paul Rankin Sausage Review
Cooking meals for the whole family that are both tasty and healthy can be a bit of a challenge at times. As a family of four finding something that everyone likes can be tricky and I’m sure you’ll agree that children can be fussy eaters at times!
We were recently sent two packs of sausages from celebrity chef Paul Rankin. Paul has teamed up with renowned artisan Irish food producer, Finnebrogue, to develop a new range of sausages – the Rankin Selection Irish Family Sausage – which has been crafted to his own traditional authentic Irish recipe.
Paul is also currently running a #Saveoursausage campaign to ensure the humble sausage remains at the heart of family meal times. This is on the back of commissioned research which found that time at the dinner table is dwindling – the average British family spends just 25 minutes per day at the table eating together, despite this being the time that families get to spend the best quality family time together.
As a family we tend to eat our meals together, but sometimes that’s not always possible. Therefore on a Sunday we always sit down together at the table for a lovely family meal.
Now, I have to be honest and say that I do love sausages and I do have a particular brand that I’m very fond of, so I was quite interested to see how these sausages would turn out.
I cooked them in a frying pan and I was impressed at how quickly they cooked and also at how evenly they browned.
My husband has recently started making homemade chips much to the enjoyment of our children, so we decided to have a treat meal of sausages and homemade chips.
R and M couldn’t tell the different between these sausages and the usual ones we buy and they ate every last bit!
I have to be honest though and say that I found the texture of these sausages a bit rubbery. They were nice, but I just wasn’t fussed on the texture. Would I buy them again? Probably, but only if my usual brand weren’t available then they’d definitely second choice!

I haven't seen these before may have to give them a try if I see them on offer. We do tend to stick to our favourites don't we? #triedtested
