Sassy Kids Box Review
Back in May of this year, I reviewed our first Sassy Kids Box. Whilst I was shouting from the rooftops about how good it was, mainly because I felt there was just something lacking from it, I have to say that they’ve more than made up for it with the second box we received!
Sassy Kids Boxes are aimed at children aged three to eight years old. Sassy Kids Box is a subscription service. Your first box will be half price (£1.99) with a £0.99 delivery charge and other boxes will cost £3.99 each plus delivery. Sassy Kids Box is a fortnightly service.
Inside this month’s box we received all the craft supplies we needed to make two dragonflies, and a caterpillar. There was also one dragonfly colouring in sheet. I wish they’d include two as there was enough craft supplies for our twins to each make the craft project, but only one colouring in sheet. Aside from that the box was great!
The dragonfly activity was super easy and fun. Included in the box were some instructions for each activity.
To make the dragonflies the first thing the girls had to do was colour in their wooden spoons using the felt pens that were included.
I loved watching the girls decorate their spoons as each was so different. The next thing we had to do was use the pipe cleaners and translucent paper to create wings which we then attached to the body (spoon) of the dragonfly.
I needed to do this part as the girls couldn’t quite manage it, but they didn’t mind at all. Lastly they glued the eyes on to finish their dragonflies. This was a fun activity that we all enjoyed!
The next activity was to create a caterpillar. To do this we used two sheets of green paper and one sheet of red paper.
The first thing I did was cut the paper into long strips. The girls could have done this themselves, but we couldn’t find their safety scissors! Once cut into strips we looped the strips together to create a chain.
We left our chains to dry whilst I cut our two circles from the red paper which would be the caterpillars face. The girls drew the faces on and then we stuck them onto the caterpillar bodies.
Overall, the girls enjoyed both of these activities. A much better box than last time!

I need crafty boxes as I'm such a rubbish crafty mum. The caterpillars look fun x
