Pill Hot Water Bottle Review
Over the course of my life I have used various types and sizes of hot water bottles for a number of different reasons. Sometimes to aid an achy belly and other times just to keep warm. I was recently sent the Pill Hot Water Bottle to review and I love it!
It’s actually an award winning hot water bottle as it won the 2013 Design Plus and 2013 Solutions Awards. This neoprene hot water bottle is said to be like no other hot water bottle on the market. It’s made from the same material used to make wet suits. This means it stays hotter for longer.
The Cuckooland website also says that it is much safer to use thanks to the freestanding design and pull-out funnel – particularly for those who experience difficulty in holding the bottle steady in one hand while they pour water with the other.
I was a little dubious about whether or not the pull-out funnel would actually work. You simply unscrew the white cross-shaped top and pull out the funnel to pour the water in, which was easy enough to do. My concern was about pushing the funnel back down as I was worried that the hot water would spill out, but it didn’t!
With traditionally shaped hot water bottles I tend to end up with some of the hot water around the opening, leading me to try and carefully wipe it away so I can put the lid back on without getting burnt. The Pill is most definitely different and I mean that in a good way. The round shape means you can place the hot water bottle on your kitchen unit while you pour hot water in meaning you’re less likely to drop the bottle or spill any hot water.
The round shape also means when you place the hot water bottle on your stomach it fits comfortably.
Here is a short video I have put together of the Pill.
All in all I’m pleased with this hot water bottle and would definitely recommend it.
