Personalised Father's Day Gifts with Hobbycraft

Hobbycraft is my favourite craft company ever! I love their range of products and their super, helpful, friendly staff. 


With Father’s Day fast approaching our twin girls and I thought what better way to show daddy just how much we love him, by making him some unique, personalised gifts with the help of Hobbycraft.


With a £40 budget, I headed straight to the website and bought the following products:

Symone Jelly Rolls (20 pack)


Using the products above we decided to make my husband a personalised photo to be displayed somewhere in our home, along with a photo book of all five of his children. Here’s how we got on. 


Personalised Photo Box Frame


For this project I used one of the pastel fat quarters, along with the innova editions white deep box frame, the papermania bare basics caption wooden letters and some of the pastel buttons.

The first thing we did was so to remove the inner frame from the box frame so that I could use it as a template to make the board for our picture. To do this I used some cardboard and drew around the inside the frame so that I had the right size board for us to create our photo. I then cut it out. 

The next thing I did was to use some of the back to basics designer paper pack sheets which came in the scrapbook bundle to create a background on the cardboard. 

There are 72 sheets in this pack meaning that there are six sheets of 12 designs. Each sheet is 6”x6” which turned out to be the perfect size for our board! 

I let our twins, R and M, choose two sheets each and then we arranged them onto our cardboard before gluing them in place. I think the colours and designs they chose work really well together. 

I then chose some heart fabric from the fat quarter bundle and cut it into a heart shape which I then glued onto the middle of the board. 

Next up, I chose some photos and cut them out before arranging them on the board. R and M loved helping me to glue the photos on!

Also inside the scrapbook bundle were some glitter self-adhesive letters. I used these along with the wooden letter tiles to spell the words, ‘Daddy’, and ‘Love’.

The last thing I did was let the girls stick some buttons on. This was a lovely finishing touch as it added some colour to the board. 

When we put our picture inside the box frame, I have to say the girls and I were pretty impressed with what we’d created and we think daddy is going to love it when he sees on it on Fathers Day.

Photo Book


The next project was our photo book. For this project we used the scrapbook bundle which includes the following products and is available for just £10!

The first thing we did was to make the front of the book look more personalised. To do this we used one of the back to basics designer paper pack sheets. We then used some letter stickers that the girls already had, along with the wooden letter tiles to spell out ‘Happy Father’s Day’ on the front’. I then added a picture of my husband and used some sentiment cut-outs to add a bit more personality. 

Inside I decided to use one sheet of the back to basics designer paper pack sheets on each page to make it more colourful and I then used different photos for each page. 

We used stickers and buttons to add more detail to each page as well. 

Overall, I think my husband is going to love these personalised gifts! What do you think?
