Christmas is one of my favourite times of year. A time where you can spoil loved ones with gifts, good food and great company. Since becoming a parent Christmas has definitely become an even more enjoyable experience for me.

In the lead up to Christmas I spend around three months planning what gifts to buy people, what food to order in and how to decorate our home. I tend to think of others first and myself last. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing at all. In fact I think it’s a good thing, but sometimes I think I need to put myself first otherwise I’ll end up feeling neglected. So with that thought in mind, here is my list to Santa this year!

Dear Santa,

I think I’ve been pretty good this year.

I’ve tried to be the best wife and mum that I can be. I know at times this hasn’t been easy, but I’ve done all I can to do the best job that I can do. I may have failed at times, but that’s ok. I accept that.

After all no-one is perfect and we learn from our mistakes.

This year for Christmas I would really like:

For our twin girls to spend the entire night in their own beds. This would mean that my husband and I would get a good night’s sleep. I have to admit that most nights I do get a good night’s sleeps so this one is more for my husband as he tends to have our girls either side of him all night!

To have a relaxed family Christmas with no drama! Everyone gets on with each other and there’s no stressing!

Lastly, I’d like for everyone to be happy, have a great day and enjoy themselves!

Our Christmas code word is Jolly.
