Mornings can be a challenge when you have a little one to look after. And even before they go to school, mornings can be still difficult to master. After all, you need to make sure you and your child are both up and ready to face the world. But it can be a challenge alongside your hubby to get ready for the day ahead. Here are some tweaks you can make to your home to make mornings much easier.
Invest in a new bathroom suite
It’s often the bathroom which can slow down the getting ready process in the morning. After all, your other half might be getting ready for work. And then you might not be able to use the bathroom very quickly. To ensure the bathroom works for you all, you should look into getting a new suite. For example, a four piece suite which includes a tub and a separate shower cubicle could help your family out. For example, you could be in the bath with your little one while your hubby has a shower. Or with a good sized shower cubicle, you can brave the shower with your baby in the morning. Or even go in during the morning with your other half! And a juliet sink would be ideal for you and your other half. You can brush your teeth while your other half gets on with his morning routine in the other mirror. And it will definitely save some arguments in the morning over the sink. Here are some other things I would have in my dream bathroom.
Opt for an instant boiling water tap
You might be surprised how difficult it can be to find time to turn on the kettle in the morning. And by the time it’s boiled, you might not get a chance to pour your coffee. Or you might run out of time in the morning so have to run out without that all-important cup. But to make mornings easier, you could consider investing in hot water taps that provide you with instant boiling water. That way, there will be no waiting around in the morning for your cuppa. You can just pour it straight away before you get on with your day. And you might find the morning much easier to handle once you have had your coffee. It will also make cooking much easier too when you don’t have to wait for the kettle to boil. Just make sure you have a safety trap on it, so your little one doesn’t end up getting burnt!
Get a dishwasher for your kitchen
It’s always a pain in the morning to come down to find that you have loads of dirty dishes. After all, if you had no time the night before, you might have had to leave them in the sink to soak. But it can make breakfast a challenge if you have no plates or bowls to use! Therefore, to ensure mornings are easy peasy, you should get a dishwasher. That way, you can quickly fill it the night before. And then the next day you will find that you can just grab a bowl or plate from the dishwasher freshly cleaned. And then when you have time later in the day, you can remove the rest of the dishes. It can often be a saving grace for mums first thing in the morning!
And remember to make sure you have everything ready for the morning in advance. Put all the toiletries and clothes out so that you can find them quickly.
