Little Passports – A Global Adventure! Review

I first of heard of Little Passports through social media. A few of the people I follow had mentioned them and after seeing an advert I was intrigued to learn more.

Little Passports was started by two mums who also happened to be best friends with a shared vision. They wanted to inspire their children to learn about the world and that’s something I’m pretty passionate about too.

Our twin girls are almost four years old and they know that we live in Cardiff, which is in Wales. They know what the welsh flag looks like too!

In 2009, Amy and Stella, launched Little Passports. Little Passports subscriptions create opportunities for children about the world around them and to help spark their imaginations. Suitable for children aged three to twelve, you’re sure to find a subscription that’s right for your child.

As mentioned above our twins are almost four years old so we’ve gone for the Early Explorers subscription which is aimed at children aged 3-5 years old. We were originally sent one for the girls to share, but some of the items included in the suitcase weren’t great for sharing such as the activity book so I was sent another suitcase. The second one I was sent though was the world edition aimed at children 6-10 so it’s a little too old for my twins, but they didn’t seem to mind and it was actually quite good to have two different world maps.

The one included in the Early Explorers suitcase is a pretty basic world map which shows continents, whereas the one included in the world edition is more detailed.

Early Explorers

I’ll talk about the Early Explorers subscription first as this is the one that’s suited to the age of our children.

The first months parcel is a suitcase which is to be used to store everything that you get sent from Max, Mia and their dog Toby.

Max and Mia are travelling the world and the idea is that they write to your child each month and send them various things from the countries they travel. The suitcase is the perfect place to store these things and keep them all together. It’s a lovely bright orange colour, very sturdy and has a handy metal handle and easy to open/close clasp.

Stickers to stick on the suitcase
A letter from Mia, Max and Toby
A welcome card
Luggage tag

The welcome card explains what to expect each month and on the back is a handy guide to the contents of the suitcase and also a sneak peek of what’s to come. This excites me as it says that in our next package we’ll find out about world landmarks.

The world map is a nice addition to the suitcase. It’s pretty big, which is great as it makes for easy reading and exploring with your child. It’s brightly coloured and clearly shows the various continents.

The letter from Max and Mia was lovely and something both of my girls were fond of. The idea of someone writing them a letter every month intrigued them! The letter talks about how they have a dog called Toby and that they all love exploring the world. It explains how Max and Mia thought it would be fun to send letters whilst they explore the world.

One of my favourite things is the passport to the world activity book and stickers. Inside there’s a double page spread to stick the stickers in. The stickers are of the various continents such as Antartica, Africa etc and on each sticker is a picture. On the Asia sticker is a picture of a Panda and on the Australia sticker there’s a picture of a kangaroo. On the other pages are lots of activities such as a maze, colouring in, dot to dot and more!

The stickers included can be stuck on the suitcase and they’re of places like Asia, South America, Australia, etc. The luggage tag is to be attached to the handle.

My first impressions of Little Passports is that it’s a great, fun way to teach children about the world. Everything inside is perfect for the girls age and I’m very impressed. I love Little Passports!

World Edition


The world edition suitcase is blue which is great because blue is R’s favourite colour! Inside this case you can find:

A letter from Sam and Sofia
A welcome card

Max and Mia aren’t featured in this edition. Instead Sam and Sofia are the ones writing the letters. In their letter, Sam explains that he and his best friend, Sofia, found an amazing scooter that can take them anywhere they want to go. Whilst on their travels they’ll write letters and send souvenirs from each destination.

The activity book with this one is a little too old for my girls as the world edition is aimed at children aged 6-10, but it looks great for children of the right age. Children have to use the letter tiles and corresponding letter to write hello in different languages and inside there are pictures of different animals from around the world and children have to match them with the country they can be found in. On the back of the activity book there’s another activity to do with world flags.

Like the Early Explorers suitcase there’s a luggage tag which can be attached to the handle of the suitcase. My favourite thing in this suitcase is the passport. Children can locate and mark each country visited on the map and place a sticker in the passport.

Overall, I’m very impressed with Little Passports and I can’t wait to see what’s coming next month!
