Keep the kids entertained this summer and win a playhouse!

| Win this playhouse! |
Summer is here! This week we’ve certainly had the summer weather and that means we’ve made the most of it by having lots of fun in the garden!
Here are a few of the things that we love to do in our garden:
Gardening
R and M absolutely love to help me plant seeds, water plants and pick our fruits! This year is the first year that we’ve taken this gardening malarkey seriously!
In march the girls helped me to plant a variety of seeds including carrots, spring onions, tomatoes, salads and herbs. They also helped me to plant some strawberry plants and potatoes.
They really enjoyed using their shovels to put the compost into the posts and then use their watering cans to water the compost before planting the seeds.
What’s been the most enjoyable thing for me is watching their enthusiasm for it! When they all first started to sprout I could see the excitement in their eyes! When they helped me to pick our first salad and strawberries they were so excited!
Not only was it a great way to teach children about where food comes from, but it’s also a great way to get them outdoors!
Playhouses
R and M love their playhouse. It’s their hiding place, the place they go to make imaginary tea and the place they sit in to have tea parties and picnics.
Playhouses are a great part of any garden. R and M have had many hours of fun in theirs!
Water Play
As well as their sand and water table there’s nothing better than having a paddle in the paddling pool! R and M love filling up their buckets and making a splash in the pool!
Sandpit
A close second to their paddling pool is their sandpit! What child doesn’t love playing in sand? The girls enjoy building sandcastles, burying their feet and driving their toy tractors through the sand!
Win a Playhouse
All you need to do is create a blog post telling Waltons how you keep your kids entertained in your garden. Pictures and videos would be great, but they’re not essential! A runner up will also win a £50 Waltons voucher!

These are fantastic tips! I just had work done in my garden, and we had a summerhouse built for the kids. It’s amazing, super warm and cosy (even in the winter), and lets us the kids have their own space to make a mess!
