Kaya Jewellery Review

I absolutely adore personalised jewellery so when I was asked to review a piece of jewellery from Kaya Jewellery I knew what I had in mind.
Kaya Jewellery was started by Tanja, who is a mum of two daughters. Tanja says that her daughters have a soft spot for everything that shines and twinkles. This means that her jewellery box gets raided on a daily basis because her children want to look just like mum!
That’s something I can certainly relate too! My twin girls, R and M, love going through my jewellery box. I wear a necklace every day, along with a bracelet and ring, so R and M often wear their own versions too.
Back in 2012, Tanja made the brave decision to quit her job so that she could make her dream of creating her own jewellery company that caters to mothers and daughters come true.
Her range includes bracelets, necklaces and earrings as well as some other products. I chose to review an engraved silver pendant with two hearts.
As you can see from the picture below, it was packaged in a lovely pink box with a cute silk bow.
The pendant is silver with a birth stone for every child. I love that I was able to have both of my girls names engraved on the pendant along with their date of births. The addition of the birth stone helps to add a bit of colour. The silver pendant is made of 925 sterling silver and Swarovski crystals are used in the colour of birth stones.

My first impressions of the pendant was that it was smaller and thinner than I thought it would be, although the website does state that it’s approximately 22 x 20mm in size, I just expected it to feel a little heavier and thicker. Aside from the size, I do adore my new pendant and I’ve had a lot of compliments about it. You can buy a matching chain from Kaya Jewellery to hang your pendant on, but I have a chain already that I will use.

I really like the engravings and the cute foot design looks classic and modern. As you can see it looks beautiful on the chain I have.

The pendant costs £35.95 which I think is a reasonable price to pay considering it can be personalised with an engraving.

Overall, I’m happy with the pendant for the most part, although I probably wouldn’t spend £35.95 on it.

For the purpose of this review I was sent the pendant above. All views and opinions are 100% my own.

  1. oh wow they are so precious! the perfect sentimental gift. I always love small family businesses' too, they always make much nicer gifts than something from a mass corporation (it's also nice to know they're going into the pocket of a hard working mum rather than some big CEO who doesn't care much!)
