Family Garden Moments
Did you know that the garden is the most popular place in the home for families to take photos of special occasions.
I don’t have many pictures from my childhood, but I do have this one photo and it is one of my favourite photos.
It shows my sister and I in our garden with our mum. I’m on the right, mum in the middle and my sister on the left.
I always used to help in the garden when I was growing up. I loved helping to mow the lawns and to plant seeds, water them and watch them grow. I still do now!
The thing I love about this photo is that we’re all happy. We’re all smiling and it although the day wasn’t a particularly special one in terms of a birthday etc, it was just a nice day spent in the garden with mum and my sister.
Worldstores want to create a timeline of the UK’s nostalgic family garden moments on their website and I’m pleased to be a part of that.
The home in which I live in at the moment has a lovely garden for my girls to play in.
The picture above was taken on the day that we moved in.
Our garden has changed quite a bit since then as the upper grass area now has a sand pit on it and the lower part has two swings on and a slide. There’s also a trampoline in the corner which you can’t see in the picture, but our girls love going on it!
They also enjoy helping me to plant new vegetables and fruits.
The garden is a great place for families to create special moments. Being outdoors without TVs and gadgets, just having each other for company is a wonderful thing and we probably all take it for granted!
Do you have any special garden moments?
