Disneyland Paris Trip Report Day 3

Following on from my last two posts, here’s our trip report for day 3 of our holiday to Disneyland Paris.

This morning we had breakfast with the characters booked at Plaza Gardens which is a short walk from the Disney Hotel where we were staying.

There was a bit of a queue to go in when we arrived, but it moved fairly quickly. We were shown to our seats and then just as we were going to go up and get breakfast the first characters started arriving. I was surprised by how quickly they arrived!

We met Mickey Mouse, Scrooge (who I mistakenly called Donald!), Eeyore, Tigger and Piglet, as well as Daisy and Minnie Mouse.

They all posed for photographs and signed the girls autographs books, except for Piglet and Eeyore who we were advised don’t sign autographs.

When we did manage to go and get our breakfast, I was very pleased with the choice available. It’s a buffet style breakfast so you just go up and help yourself. There were croissants, toast, cereal, hot foods such as sausages, beans, bacon, eggs etc, as well as a selection of cheeses and ham.

After breakfast we decided to go on some rides. We went inside Alice’s Curious Labyrinth, which is a maze that has a castle in the middle of it. Throughout the maze you can find little doors for children to walk through as well as some characters from Alice in Wonderland.

When we eventually found our way to the castle in the middle, it was pretty busy, but we just about managed to explore inside it and admire the view from one of the turrets at the top.

We then went back on some of our favourite rides such as the flying dumbo ride, mad hatters tea cups and the carousel.

After going on some rides we made our way over to Frontierland to meet Woody from Toy Story. We were around third in the queue and only had to wait around 30 minutes for Woody to turn up.

Our girls were so excited to meet him! He came skipping over to them both, interacted with them, signed their autograph books and posed for photos. Of course, my husband, Nigel, also wanted a picture with Woody on his own too!

After meeting Woody, we made a mad dash over to the Studios in a desperate bid to catch the First Order March (the Star Wars Storm Troopers marching). We had five minutes to make it there. R was absolutely desperate to see them so it was a very quick dash over!

Thankfully, we made it just in time! The storm troopers were out and marching around, then Chewbacca appeared out of nowhere! He was huge and very hairy!

Turns out we’d arrived just in time to watch the Star Wars: A Galaxy Far Far Away show. We saw R2D2, C3PO, Darth Vader and many other characters from Star Wars! I have to be honest it was pretty cool!

After this we headed over to Chey Remy, which is also located in the Studios area of the park, for lunch. This was one of my favourite places to eat!

We were shown to our tables quickly and given menus. The girls chose some vegetable dip starters, and Nige and I had a salad each which was very tasty!

I chose ravioli for my main course and it was to die for! I also had tiramisu for desert, which was the best tiramisu I’ve ever eaten!

The food was amazing, the service was quick and we absolutely loved eating in Chey Remy! We’ll definitely book there again for our next trip!

After lunch we wandered around some of the shops in the studios. I bought some special 25 year anniversary photo albums, as well as some gifts for family.

We then wandered back into the main park and explored frontier land and adventure land. We came across Captain Jack Sparrows Pirate Ship and found a small park. We sat down for a while whilst the girls played in the park.

We then wandered around adventure land and climbed up to a tree house which gave amazing views across adventure land.

We started to make our way over to the main park and wandered past the small stage by the castle. There were a few people gathered around the stage, so after checking the Disneyland Paris app on my phone, I found out that we were just in time to watch the Princess Waltz.

We decided to wait and watch the show. At first the princesses came out on their own and danced, then they were soon joined by their princes. It was pretty magical as this is one of the very few times, that you’re actually able to see the princes. The girls were very excited to see them all!

We then headed over to another of our favourite rides, It’s a Small World, and had a go on that. When we came out we found a spot just by the side of It’s a Small World and settled down to watch the parade.

As I’d imagined the parade was amazing! The floats were spectacular as were all of the characters involved!

Today was the only day that the girls didn’t have a nap. By the time we’d finished exploring, it was time to go and have dinner in Inventions, which was another character meal in the Disney Hotel.

I did worry if we were over-doing the whole character meeting thing, but I’m so glad we booked Inventions again as we met some new characters that we hadn’t already seen such as Captain Hook. At first M was a little nervous of him, but she soon warmed up to him and posed for a photo. He also signed the girls autograph books.

After a long day, we made our way back to our hotel room for an early night.
