Cardboard Castle Craft
Our twin girls love crafts as much as I do, and trust me, that’s a lot! Quite often they’ll ask me if they can ‘do crafty things’ or if they can make something.
I even have a cupboard in kitchen which is packed full of crafty goodness from different coloured paints, to glitter glue, pipe cleaners and more!
A few weeks ago I had a parcel delivered and my husband asked me if I wanted to keep the box that it was delivered in. It was a pretty nice box so I said yes thinking that I could use it to store some of my sewing things in etc.
However, the box itself actually inspired a craft activity that our girls really enjoyed. We decided to turn the box into a castle.
I used my scissors to cut the top of the box to look more like a castle, then I cut an arched doorway and we were done. This was the quick and easy part!
The next job was our girls to paint the castle. They took two sides each and opted for a mixture of purple and red. They even painted inside!
This was a pretty quick craft activity. It probably only took 30-60 minutes to do, but it was lots of fun. Of course you could add some windows, maybe some drawings and perhaps some detail inside such as ladders if you wanted to make this activity last longer.
