Are you beautiful or average? How do you see yourself?

When you look in the mirror what do you see?

How does your reflection make you feel?

Dove have released a new film to inspire women in the UK to reconsider the choices they make about their beauty.

A staggering 96% of women do not choose the word ‘beautiful’ to describe how they look. Dove believes feeling beautiful is a personal choice women should feel empowered to make for themselves, every day

Through a candid, eye-opening film shot in London, as well as four other cities: Delhi, San Francisco, Shanghai and Sao Paolo – Dove is launching the Choose Beautiful campaign to encourage women worldwide to reconsider the choices they make about their beauty and how those choices make them feel.

The campaign is very well put together. When I watched the video I wondered to myself what door I would have walked through. I’m not sure. I think it depends on the mood I was in that day.

If i’m honest I don’t feel beautiful, but I don’t feel average either. I feel somewhere in between. When I look in the mirror I feel mixed emotions.

I think that I could do with toning up my ‘mummy tummy’ and losing a bit of weight. I do focus on the positives too so it’s not all negative, but it really has surprised me the amount of women in the video who walked through the average door.

Overwhelmingly, the film reveals that women often struggle with recognising their own beauty, and find it difficult to Choose Beautiful.

To me all of the women were beautiful.

Beauty comes in all shapes, sizes and colours.

What door would you have walked through?
