A visit to Santa at Pughs Garden Centre
Last year, we took our twin girls to see Santa in our local garden centre, Pughs.
We had a wonderful time and decided to book again this year. We were running late, but arrived just in time!
We were greeted by an Elf who took the girls names and then showed us where to wait.
The doorway to see Santa looked pretty magical and before we knew it, in we went.
The first room was set out with church-style benches in rows, one behind the other, to give the impression of a sleigh.
There was a big TV screen on the wall and overhead we could hear Captain Rudolph who would be guiding our sleigh to the North Pole!
The TV showed us fly over the snowy treetops and land with a bump!
Next up we walked through the enchanted forest and listed to an Elf read a story by the camp fire. The children were encouraged to blow on the fire to make it hotter and steam blew out from the top, much to the delight of the children!
We then wandered further into the enchanted forest soon came across the Elves bedroom.
It was decorated in such a lovely Christmas theme. The children were allowed to sit on the beds and were then given some jingle bells. Jingle bells were also hanging from the ceiling which M loved jingling!
We then walked to find Santa who was sat in a lovely open space surrounded by Elves and soft, fluffy rugs for the children sit on.
Santa talked to the children and then they were called up to sit next to Santa one by one. We then had our photos taken and Santa have the girls a special ticket each sonthatvyheu could exchange it for a toy in the toy shop.
The toy shop was really good. Much better than last years. The children could go in and chose any toy. They had a good selection on offer for all ages. R chose a big blue police car and M chose a shape sorting ball toy.
The overall experience was really good and our twins definitely enjoyed it. It did feel a bit rushed in comparison to last year though, but I’d probably go again next year!

We went to a garden centre to see Santa too. I like it when they make a full experience of it and I think Santa speaking to the group first gives them chance to get used to him and be less scared. It was the first time my son had Sen Santa this year and the first visit he screamed evaluate there was no build up and we were just put in a room with him. Second time he has chance to listen to him and watch others go up before he did so knew it was okay. #BinkyLinky
