A poem for you our beautiful girls
Sometimes the only way to put feelings into words is via a poem…
Although you mess around and be silly
You still make sure there are bedtime kisses all round
I’ll tell you I love you
And whisper into your ear
You laugh ever so sleepily
And peep a little through your eyes
As you sleep, Daddy lays out your breakfast bowls
All ready and waiting for you
For when you wake up
You bounce on the sofas
And always visit the fairies to have your nappy changed
You like big cuddles and Daddy’s shorts!
They go everywhere with you
Inseparable
You’re determined and bossy
You’re caring and thoughtful
You’re funny and witty
Full of energy
You run around and around and around
There’s nothing better to you
Than to run around in the nude!
You always put the fairies to bed
Then gather your toys for a bedtime cuddle
Our lives changed the moment you were conceived
The moment you were born it all changed again
We love you both always
Forever and ever
