My target weight is 9st7 and at my last weigh in seven days ago I weighed 10st7. I now weigh 10st5. I’m really pleased that I’ve lost another 2lbs. This brings my total weightloss up to 10lbs in three weeks.
I actually had doubts over whether I had lost any weight this week because as you’ll see if you keep reading u had one really bad day.
Today is day 21 and I’m pleased to let you know that I have managed to fit in three exercise sessions this week. Each session lasted 30 minutes and it was hard! Although my target is to achieve 150 minutes of exercise a week, this hasn’t been possible for me. However, I am pleased with the 90 minutes that I have done and I aim to continue this going forward.
I work two days a week and then for the remainder of the week I look after our twins. The only time I get to squeeze in some exercise is when the girls have their daytime nap which lasts anything from an hour to an hour and a half.
I mentioned last week that I’d bought a kettle bell. I haven’t actually used this, this week because I have been using my Roger Black 2-in-1 Cross Trainer and Exercise Bike. I will use my kettle bell, but at the moment I’m just trying to get used to using the cross trainer.

When the cross trainer arrived, Twin Daddy put it together for me. I estimated it would take around an hour to put together, but it actually took around two and a half hours. Twin Daddy followed the instructions step by step and other than initially putting the handle bars on the wrong way it was fairly easy to put together.
It’s a nice size piece of equipment and I can’t wait to buy a house and have a dedicated area for all of my home gym equipment! At at the moment the only place we can put the cross trainer is in our hallway which is lucky because we don’t use our front door. We have a porch and then a front door and back door which leads into our kitchen and we’ve just always used the back door!
Bearing in mind that I haven’t done any exercise since school and the occasional 5k once a year, I think I did quite well! I’m not the fittest person in the world and it doesn’t take much for me to get out of breath!
I originally planned to use the cross trainer for 30 minutes a day over three days a week. However, I found the cross trainer quite hard even though I only had the tension on one! Instead I decided to alternate between the cross trainer and bike. With practise and over time I’ll be able to increase the tension.
I could have easily given up after 10 minutes, but I pushed myself to do it and I did!
I spent five minutes on the cross trainer and then five minutes on the exercise bike and continued like this for 30 minutes. I’m really impressed with my Roger Black Cross Trainer and Exercise bike. It’s of great quality and although it took a little time to put together, it was easy if you just follow the instructions.
Both the cross trainer and exercise bike are low impact exercises and provide a great cardiovascular workout which is crucial to burning calories and shifting unwanted pounds.
It has a hand grip and wireless pulse sensor and the feedback console measures speed, time, distance, pulse, calories, ODO and scan.
I am definitely getting used to the cross trainer and bike and I’m really enjoying my workouts. I think it’s also helped toward my weight loss this week, so I am keen to continue this.`
This cross trainer is the Roger Black Silver Magnetic Cross Trainer and Exercise Bike and it’s available to buy from Argos here along with other Roger Black equipment.
Healthy Eating
Food wise, it’s been a funny week. I did have one bad day where I caved in and had KFC.
I know, this is bad. It took me over my daily calorie allowance by just over 1,400 calories. When you consider this is week three of my diet and this is the first time I’ve had a bad day, I don’t think that’s too bad. Plus it’s made me realise that although I enjoyed it at the time, it wasn’t worth it.
I’m still not quite eating 5 a day, but I am eating an apple each day and I’ve swapped chips with vegetables so I’m getting there.
Here is how my week has been…
