What’s in my makeup bag?

December 27, 2013

I’ve always loved make up and like many I imagine I’ve had a few disastrous attempts! From black eye shadow to an orange face – come on girls we’ve all been there! I have finally settled on my perfect look!

But before I show you my perfect look in an upcoming post, I thought I would share with you today what my makeup bag contains.

Maybelline Dream Liquid Foundation in Ivory
I have quite pale skin so I always find that ivory is the best colour for me regardless what brand of foundation I use. This foundation is my favourite at the moment. It glides on really easily. It doesn’t leave any residue behind and it’s really easy to blend in.
It’s not heavy on my face and the coverage is really good. It’s smooth, subtle and really gives a natural look.
Maybelline Dream Touch Blush in Berry
I used to always use powdered blush, but since discovering the Maybelline Dream Touch Blush I don’t think I would ever go back to powdered blush. Much like the foundation this is easy to apply and blend using your fingers and a little really does go a long way.
The colour is subtle, natural looking and lasts all day.
Collection 2000 Loose Powder in Translucent
This powder is the cheapest I have come across and yet it is also the best powder I have ever used! As I mentioned above my skin is pretty pale so I tend to choose light colours when it comes to foundation and powder and more rosy tones when it comes to blush etc.
I use a powder pad to apply this and it just glides on so easily. It doesn’t cake and it lasts all day. Available to buy in most super markets and online.
Rimmel Jet Black Eyeline
Since my teenage years I have always worn eye liner. Without it my eyes look small and tired. This Kohl eye liner by Rimmer is easy to apply as it just glides on instantly so there’s no need to go back over it more than once. It’s also cheap and long lasting.
I’ve tried many eyeliners over my time, but this is by the far the best one I have come across.
George ASDA Faux Lash Mascara
Another super market bargain and one to rival the big brands. This mascara has a bigwand for maximum impact. It doesn’t clump and it lasts all day.
17 Lasting Fix Lipstick in Dusky Rose
When it comes to lip colour I would love to be able to pull off a rich, vibrant red colour, but I find pink tones work best for my pale complexion. I always wear lipstick as I think it helps to finish my look. It can make a big difference to make me look more alert and fresh.
