Being a toddler must be pretty awesome at times. Aside from the nappies, tantrums and having to go to bed early!
Although they wake up early, to them it’s a lie in, as a result of their early night. Not only that, but then they do wake up, they tend to wake up, wide awake! There’s no in between with them!
Depending on their age, they even have another human being there to dress them, bath them, help them brush their teeth and brush their hair. They even get fed without having to make their own food and there’s no washing up, chores or work!
They even have a better social life than their parents!
They get to go over other people’s houses and play with all of their toys, read all of their books, eat all of their food, and then we’re they’re tired or bored, they can simply announce that they want to go home and here’s the best bit! They don’t even have to apologise for making a mess because again, they have someone else to do that for them and someone else to tidy up after them! They even get chauffeur driver anywhere and everywhere they want to go!
If your toddlers are anything like ours, who recently turned four years old, then they’ll have an exceptionally busy time ahead! Since starting nursery back in September, they’ve been invited to a lot of birthday parties. Pretty much every weekend they have a party to attend!
It’s great! They love going to their friends parties, but they also love helping to choose a gift and wrap it for their friends.
It’s amazing though, because I never thought my toddlers would ever have a better social life than me! Surely I can’t be alone in this?!

Their social life is amazing, non stop parties, play dates, dinner "parties" – they experience so much as children, which is great. I on the other hand am going out on Friday…haven't been out on my own since February…before that it was last April. Quite a difference to the seventeen birthday parties and after school playtime my daughter's had over the last eight weeks or so! (well, not quite 17 haha) #bestandworst

You are definitely not alone. I consider myself my daughter's P.A / chauffer / chef / ladies maid and slave. All for zero pay. Fabulous! Not that I'd swap it for the world 😉 x

You are not alone! My social life consists of a cuppa with mummy friends and wine at each other's house (in the evenings lol) #bestandworst xx

Haha yes my toddler has a better social life than me and she hasn't even started school yet. There's endless parties. Lunch dates, play dates etc. My diary is full of her plans not my own lol x
