Are you a stay at home mum or a working mum?
I work two days a week and then the rest of my week is spent with our twins.
Would you have it any other way?
Nope, I think a two day working week is the perfect balance. I still get to earn money, but spend the majority of time at home. It’s win/win!
Do you co-sleep?
Only when I have to! I love the idea of co-sleeping, but in reality it just doesn’t work! I have had R and M in bed with me at various ages, but the only time R comes into bed with me is when she is ill and can’t settle on her own in her cot. Even then, when she’s asleep, I tend to put her back in her cot.
I can’t sleep with her in bed with me because she wriggles too much!
My husband however, has M in bed with him every night! She starts the night in her cot around 7pm and how long she stays there is anyone’s guess! Sometimes an hour, sometimes three, but you can guarantee that at some point during the night, she will wake and my husband will bring her into bed with us!
In all fairness though, M is a very still, peaceful sleeper unlike her sister who ends up in all sorts of positions in her cot!
What is your one must have item for your baby?
Our angel care movement monitors. I don’t have a video or sound monitor because I don’t feel I need one. We live in a maisonette so we are all on one floor. If the girls wake we can easily hear them.
My biggest fear is cot death and our angel care movement monitors are my best buy. They offer me peace of mind and in my opinion they’re the best baby product ever!
How many kids do you plan on having?
I love the thought of having more children, but in reality I think I’ll only ever have our twins. I don’t want a third or even fourth child to take anything away from R and M, plus I wouldn’t want a third of fourth child to feel left out because of the bond that R and M share as twins.
Date nights? How often do you have them?
Date night? What’s that?!
Uh, no!
Your child’s favourite TV show?
M isn’t a big TV lover, but R absolutely loves Cbeebies Justin’s House! Every time it comes on the TV, R stops what she is doing to watch!
Name one thing you bought before you had your children that you’ve never used
Scratch mitts! They never kept them on!
Your children’s favourite food?
They don’t have a favourite meal, but they like meatballs, pasta, cake and chocolate!
How many cars does your family have?
Two
Weight gain, before pregnancy, during, after and now?
Before my pregnancy I weighed around 11st. I only put on a few pounds during my pregnancy and after the birth I weight less than I did before I was pregnant around 10st7. I gained around 7lbs and went to 11st, but I’m not back down to 10st5 and hoping to drop to 9st7.
Dream holiday with your kids?
Disneyland! Surely every parents dream holiday right? I think when they twins are around 5-6 years old is when we’ll go.
Dream holiday without your kids?
It’s a toss-up between a relaxing Caribbean holiday or city break in Italy or America to do the whole Elvis tour. I love Elvis!
How has your life changed since having kids?
I have less time for myself and less money. I can’t remember the last time I bought new clothes for myself or the last time I actually spent more than 2 minutes deciding what to wear as I just grab the first thing in my wardrobe!
I have two beautiful girls who I love spending time with. I’m happier and life couldn’t really be better!

Where do you shop for your kids?
Food wise – ASDA
Clothes wise – H&M, Matalan or Supermarkets
Favourite make-up and skincare products?
Favourite make-up product my Rimmel jet black eyeliner. I’d be lost without it.
Favourite skincare product is my Sanctuary Spa body butter. It smells amazing!
Huggies or pampers?
Supermarket own brand here!
Have you always wanted kids?
Yes, yes and yes!
Best part of being a mum?
Double cuddles and kisses!

Great post, it's nice to see everyone's answers. I agree with the heart melting part, that's probably one thing that makes mine melt is seeing my children show affection to each other x
