For my Valentine

I’m not usually one to write soppy blog posts, but seeing as it’s Valentines day, I thought I’d put pen to paper, (or should that be fingers to keypad?), and see what I could come up with! I met my husband, Nigel, when I was 18, and we’ve been together ever since. 13 happy years. I wasn’t looking to meet anyone that day, but when our eyes met through the shop window I was working in as you drove past, I knew there was something there. It hasn’t been an easy journey. Many people said it wouldn’t last. After all… [Read More]

A crazy little thing called love!

My husband is a pretty wonderful man. I imagine that’s something that many women may say about their husbands, but when I say he’s a wonderful man, I really mean it. He really is.  I’m actually not sure what I would do without him. Not just because he’s good at fixing things, doing the dishes and washing my clothes and the girls clothes, (yes, really!), but because of who he is as a person.  He’s funny, generous and strong minded. He’s a good judge of character, he’s kind, loving and he makes me laugh. Most importantly though, he makes me… [Read More]

Life can sometimes be a bit hectic. Quite often I’ve been so busy working and looking after the children that I forget about my relationship with my husband and take him for granted. Whether you’ve been together for a year or twenty five years these tips… [Read More]

Lady in Liguria

I came across a blog recently and I love it so much that I wanted to share it with you too!  Anneka blogs at Lady in Liguria and writes about her experiences of long distance love, finding happiness and living between London and Liguria.  Thank you Anneka for letting me share your blog. Lady in Liguria I did everything they told me to do.  Everything that was programmed into my consciousness for ‘getting on in life’, which I assumed at the time meant happiness.  I worked tirelessly at school to achieve top grades, secured a Masters degree and landed a job… [Read More]

How I met your mother

Couple

Written by Twin Mummy. It was a warm, sunny day and I was working in a local shop.  The shop was on the same street as the house that I lived in with my mum, dad and twin sister. It was a lovely area to live and grow up in. Friendly people, great shops and lovely parks to ride our bikes around or to just sit and chat with friends. I was 17 years old. I hadn’t worked in the shop for very long, but I pretty much knew everyone in the village because it’s where I grew up. One day, I was… [Read More]

The Twin Bond

Our twins, R and M, will be two years old at the end of February. Aside from each other the only opportunities they get to socialise with other children is when I take them to play group on a Thursday and music group on a Friday. To me, giving our daughters plenty of opportunity to socialise and play with or play around other children is really important. Obviously they will always have each other to play with, to cuddle with and of course to fight with!  Their bond as twins is really beautiful to see and I love watching them… [Read More]
