Winter is most definitely around the corner. Here in Cardiff, the temperatures have taken a serious nose day over the last few weeks which has seen us Brits turn the heating on, layering up our clothes and snuggling under blankets.
The cold weather doesn’t mean we can’t stay warm in style though. Now that the Autumn/Winter season is upon us, I’ve been taking a look at the great range of women’s coats and jackets that Land’s End has to offer.
Who are Land’s End?
Lands’ End started in 1963. They’ve been creating beautiful clothing and footwear for all the family ever since. With their combination of elegance and practical features, their clothes offer the ultimate in comfort in sizes petite 8 to plus 30.
Lands End say they make “Sunday comfort” part of your every day. Comfort is in softer, stronger fabrics that work for you. Comfort is a great fit for every body and while browsing their website, I found the pricing was very reasonable too.
I’ve previously worked with Lands’ End on a review of some of their other clothes, also perfect for winter, so check out that review here.
Women’s Water Repellent Quilted Jacket
As per the title of this review, my aim this winter is to stay warm in style and that’s where this gorgeous women’s, water repellent, quilted jacket from Land’s End will come into it’s own!
First of all, Land’s End always delivers in beautiful packaging.

This jacket is available in 5 fabulous colours: Spicy Mustard, Rich Red, Forest Moss, Deep Sea Navy, and the one I chose, Black.

Currently priced at just £63.00, this jacket is an ideal option for transitioning from Summer to Autumn. The body insulation and the fact that is water repellent means that this jacket will keep you both warm and dry. I tested it out today at my daughter’s football match and can confirm, it did indeed do both!
Made from 100% recycled polyester shell/lining/insulation, this quilted jacket features a hood, zip front, open hip pockets and a dipped front/back hem.

I’m normally a size 12, so I ordered this jacket in the small which the Land’s End website says is a 10-12 and it’s a perfect fit.
I love the pockets and the lightweight feel of this coat. Some coats can feel quite bulky, but not this one. I also really like that the back of the jacket is lower than the front.

In addition, I also really like the diamond quilting. It’s feminine and flattering, plus it’s super versatile as you can layer it beautifully over anything from tees to jumpers, depending on what the weather’s doing.
Final Thoughts
As always, Lands’ End delivers high quality clothing at high street prices. I’m really happy with this jacket. It’s warm and keeps you dry, plus it’s super stylish!
For the purpose of this review, I was compensated for my time and gifted the featured jacket. All thoughts & opininos are 100% my own.
