Spin Mania Game Review

Spin Mania is a speeding, spinning, time trial challenge. The game consists of a motorised spinning machine with an electronic timer, three orange helicopter-like rotary plates, a ‘spin-spike’, and three purple stands on which to set the plates once they are spinning correctly.

The challenge is to ‘spin-up’ the three plates on the spinning machine one at a time – and then, using your spin-spike, transfer them, still spinning, to the three separate stands. All three plates must still be spinning on their stands as the player rushes back to the timer, stops the clock, and marks the time taken. Then the next player or players strive to beat the time recorded. 

My 6 year old cousin and I had great fun playing this game. We challenged each other by secretly placing the plate stands around the room we were in (within eye sight). A few fun places we placed the plate stands were under the dining room table, on the window sill, and on a shelf. It was very funny watching my cousin attempt to transfer the spinning plates to the one under the table!! 

This game is so much fun! We spent a good hour playing and coming up with new and even more challenging places to put the stands. A great family game that would make a fab Christmas present.
