Room to Grow Hamper

January 2, 2016
On Christmas eve we received a lovely hamper from Room to Grow full of festive goodies for us to enjoy.

Inside the hamper we received was:
Stockings for our twins
Personalised Christmas tree decorations
Decorate your own Christmas tree decorations
Gingerbread house kit
Christmas challenge game
The night before Christmas book
Santa footprint stencil
Wispa chocolate
Write a letter to Santa kit (x2)
Reuseable shopping bag
A DVD (ELF)

We didn’t make use of the stockings this year as the girls already one each, well they have a few, but they’d already chosen the ones that they wanted to use, so these will hopefully be used next year, but if not it’s always good to have a spare!

The personalised Christmas decorations were lovely. They were made from cardboard and had our names cut into each of them. They looked lovely on our Christmas tree and it’s a lovely keepsake.

We haven’t used the decorate your own Christmas tree decorations yet, as we just didn’t have time, but this will be something I can save for next year.

The night before Christmas book was a lovely addition to the festive hamper and my husband enjoyed it reading it to our twins on Christmas eve. It really got us all into the festive spirit! If you don’t own this book, I would recommend it!

My husband had mentioned to me previously about making some Santa footprints on our carpet going from our fireplace to the Christmas presents, but I wasn’t sure how he planned to do this. However using the stencil we received, it was really easy! My husband used flour and the results were impressive! When our twins woke up on Christmas morning and saw them they were amazed!

Their faces just looked in total awe, excitement and shock! Something I’ll remember forever!

We didn’t use the letter to Santa kits either as the girls had already sent theirs so again this is something to keep for next year, but I can assure you that the chocolates in the hamper didn’t last very long!

Our favourite thing in the hamper has to be the gingerbread house kit! I’ve never done one before, but have seen them around quite a lot lately. On Christmas eve the girls and I headed to the kitchen to have ago at making a gingerbread house.

Everything we needed was included and it was actually easier than I thought it was going to be! The girls enjoyed eating the sweets as oppose to using them to decorate the house! The gingerbread tastes pretty good too, although there’s not much left now!

We were also sent ELF on DVD. I’ve been desperate to see this film for ages, so I was really pleased to see it in the hamper! I still haven’t watched it, but I will soon and I can’t wait!

Thanks Room to Grow for a lovely hamper!
