Review: EasiYo Yogurt Maker

September 9, 2019

Making yogurt at home isn’t something that ever crossed mind before. Bread, cakes, cookies etc are things that I bake regularly. Yogurt, however, well I usually just buy it from the supermarket.

However, when EasiYo contacted me to ask if I’d like to review their EasiYo yogurt maker I said yes.

EasiYo is a yogurt maker that allows you to make your own yogurt at home. Simply mix water and the yogurt mixture and leave for 8- 12 hours then you will then have 1kg of yogurt.

As a family we’re keen on reducing the amount of single use plastic we use. EasiYo is a great option in helping us to achieve this as it reduces waste of single use yogurt pots and plastic in the home. That’s because the maker and pots can be reused.

The EasiYo yogurt maker is available online in either red or pink. As you can see we were sent the pink one along with one sachet of Black Cherry Greek Style yogurt and Apricot Greek Style Yogurt.

The ‘Greek Style’ yogurts come in six new flavours:

  • Apricot Greek Style
  • Strawberry and Banana Greek Style
  • Black Cherry Greek Style
  • Strawberry Greek Style
  • Blueberry Greek Style
  • Lemon Greek Style

Using the EasiYo Yogurt Maker is really simple. We decided to make the Apricot Greek style yogurt. It’s so easy that we let our seven year old twins make it (with our supervision and obviously we poured the boiling water in the required, not our children!).

First you need to half fill the EasiYo jar with room temperature water.

Then pour in your chosen EasiYo flavour sachet mix and thoroughly mix with a shake.

Then top it up with water to the fill line and shake again.

Next pour boiling water into the maker. The level of boiling water you add is really important. You want to just reach the top of the plastic spacer (the red bit), then place your jar inside and twist the lid on.

In 8-12 hours or overnight you’ll have 1kg of yogurt! For thicker yogurt leave it in the maker a bit longer.

We made the Apricot Greek Style Yogurt and it is super tasty. It’s thick and creamy which is just how I like my yogurts and it reminds me of summer with its fruity flavour! The yogurt was really easy to make. You can even add some fruit for an added health kick!

I added some blueberries, dried cranberries, apricot and mango to mine!

There are lots of tips online here to help you make the perfect yogurt and you can also buy your yogurt sachets online here.

For the purpose of this review I was sent one EasiYo Yogurt Maker. All views and opinions are 100% my own.
