It’s no secret that I enjoy cooking and I think part of my passion for it has passed onto our twins. This years they’ve helped me to bake our Christmas cake, apple pie and mince pies.
I love baking and think it’s important to get children involved. Every week when I cook Sunday dinner our girls will help me to ‘snap’ the broccoli, pop the roast potatoes onto the baking tray and they’ll also help to set the table.
Cooking is a basic life skill that every child should know, so it’s important to me that our girls learn how to cook.
At the moment we mainly bake cakes, cookies and biscuits, but as the girls get older I’d like them to help cook more proper meals. In the meantime though we’re happy making cakes and eating them!

It sounds like you have a great time cooking with your girls this Christmas. I have to have a look at your recipe for apple pie!
