My phone runs my life!

December 22, 2016

I’m currently sat on the sofa alone as I write this. I can hear the kettle boiling in the kitchen and the sound of my husband counting change on the countertop.

He’s been home for around half an hour, which means I’ve spent the day up until this point on my own.

After dropping our girls off at school this morning, I returned home, turned on my MacBook and wrote two reviews.

I then took some photographs of said review items and then spent another hour editing a couple of posts for my husband, Nigel, who also blogs.

Then it was time for a little indulgence. A little me time to do the things I enjoy doing.

I finished off a book I’ve reading, then finished off a film I’d been watching the previous week which Nige had interrupted! Eat, Pray, Love. I bought the book a while ago, but still haven’t got around to reading it so I decided to watch the film, which by the way, is great!

I then picked up another book that I bought back in 2014 and started reading it. I’m up to page 43 already and so far so good, I’m really enjoying it.

Now, it’s almost 3pm which means I’m going to have to move from under the blanket that I’ve been nestled under for approximately the last two hours so that I can go get our girls from school.

Now, you may be wondering why this post is called ‘my phone runs my life’ when I haven’t actually explained why, so here goes.

This is a bit random.

I thought to myself, ‘Oh, I wonder when my period is due’. Better check my phone to find out!

So there you go. My phone has an app on it that can tell me when my period is due and it’s always spot on. Who knew a phone would know more about my menstrual cycle than me?

Of course, my phone also knows what I need to pick up from the shop, what blog posts I need to write and what review items I need to take pictures of. I mean, it even knows what I’m going to buy people for Christmas.

Genius!

So there you have it. A rather random post about how my phone runs my life!

Phones these days can be a nuisance. Very rarely can you go somewhere and see someone not being glued to their phone x

I love Eat, Pray, Love – one of my favourite films! I still have not found enough time to read the book though
