We’re big books fans in our household. Our twins love listening to a bedtime story every night and R already knows two books off by heart. At four years old she can’t read yet, but she has really good memory retention and used the pictures on the page to recall the story which amazes me!
Reading to your children is really important. It not only helps to improve their vocabulary and listening skills, it can also help to enhance children’s creativity and imaginations. This is the reason why I will never turn down the opportunity to review a good children’s book!
He dreams of being a jungle star, and on his journey to stardom he meets lots of other musical animals with their own instruments, including Ella the Elephant, Ziggy the Zebra, Larry the Lion and Gina the Giraffe.
When asked by each animal if he’d like to stay and play or sing, Mike says no. Eventually Mike hears a wonderful noise which he discovers is all the other animals playing together in a band. Mike soon learns an important life lesson such as working as a team to achieve your dreams.
The story is easy to read, it flows really and the pictures are very appealing to children of all ages. The bold colours on each page are also eye catching. This 32 page picture book also has rhyming text on each page.
Both authors of this book are extremely experienced with the subject. Noam Lederman is a musician who’s performed at Glastonbury and Reading Festival, sold over a million musical lesson books and is currently Principle at the Academy of Rock in Asia. His wife, Louise Lederman has spent time working at a number of disability charities including the National Autism Society which she used to make the book SEND friendly.
Overall, this is a fun, easy to read and engaging book that we all love! Jungle Jam is available to buy from Amazon.
