It’s an Aquabeads Party Kinda Weekend! Come and Join Us!

Waving their flags whilst eyeing up all of the Aquabeads goodies, these two couldn’t wait to get started!

As a side note, I have learnt over the past few days that if you give kids a spray bottle and fill it with water, it can keep them occupied for hours!

First up we tested out the Aquabeads Beginners Studio! With over 800 jewels and solid beads, this kit contains everything we needed to get started!

I really like that the box in which everything comes in also doubles up as a place to keep all of the beads, templates, sprays and the bead pen. After emptying the beads and jewels into the container, the girls then decided on which template they would be attempting first.

They decided to make the girl first and said that they wanted to make her together. It was easy for them both to work together as the bead mould, which doubles up as the lid, is a fairly big size.

M started first and quickly got to grips of the idea to add the corresponding colour jewel or bead onto the correct place on the mould. There is a bead pen included in the kit, which is handy for grown ups to use to pick the beads up and place them in the mould, but the girls preferred to use their hands, although they could use the pen easily too.

R followed up and again quickly got to grips with what she needed to do.

Before long the girl template was complete. We did have a few occasions, mainly when we were close to finishing the girl, where the beads were knocked out of place as it did get a bit fiddly, but the girls managed to put the beads back and finish their template together.

After spraying with water, we then moved onto one of the sample packs we were sent which was a super cute blue bear.

We waited around two hours and then gently peeled the girl and bear off of the moulds. I think they would have been ready after an hour though. The girls were both delighted and amazed to see that the beads and jewels were stuck together!

After seeing their first finished creations, the girls couldn’t wait to get started on another!

Before I go on, I just wanted to show you the case below. The lid, which is also the mould, fits securely on top of the base which can be used to keep the templates and everything else in.

Next up we took a look at one of the mini playsets we were sent. Suitable for children aged four and over, the mini play set has over 400 beads and would make a great stocking filler!

There’s a handy tray to keep all the beads in, as well as four super cute templates for children to enjoy creating. You also get an instruction sheet too which is always handy!

Next up, the girls wanted to have a go at making the heart and circular ring pattern that sits on top of the lid.

As you can see, the beads fit neatly into the moulds.

They filled the mould up, then sprayed them with water.

I think the spraying with water part was one of their favourite parts!

We then moved on to create a few more of the sample packs we received. M decided to make the snail, and R wanted to make the car.

They were both pretty pleased with how they turned out and M decided to make another bear!

Whilst we were waiting for the heart and circular ring to dry, the girls decided they wanted to make more!

I’ve never known them to be so keen to continue with an activity, as they have been with Aquabeads! I think they could have easily spent the entire day making every template and using up every last bead!

As you can see, the girls made a lot of different creations and they look pretty pleased with them all!

I think it’s fair to say that we had an absolutely amazing Aquabeads party! It went on for such a long time, as a party should, and the fun didn’t seem to end!
