Playing table top games with our girls is one of my favourite things to do. Granted, sometimes things can get a bit heated, but it’s all part of the fun and learning experience!
I’d much rather sit at a table playing good, old fashioned games together, than watch them playing on tablets or glued to a TV screen.
We were recently sent a new game to review from The Green Board Game Company and it’s so much fun! Brainbox Transport is a great, memory style game for children for children aged four and over.
Included in the box you’ll find:
55 cards
1 rules card
1 sand timer
1 die
The great thing about this game is that you can either play it on your own or you can play it with other people.
Playing the game is really easy and the girls picked it up very quickly. The youngest player goes first by taking a card from the Brainbox or you can put them in a pile on the table. The youngest player then studies the picture on the card until the ten second timer runs out.
They then pass the card to another player and roll the die. The player must then answer the appropriate question. So if you roll a number three, you need to answer question number three.
If the player gets the question right they get to keep the card. If they get the question wrong you have to return the card to the pile and then the next player chooses a card.
The winner is the player with the most cards at the end of the ten minutes. R and M really enjoyed playing this game. They remembered so much about the pictures on the cards, from the colour of the sky to how many people they could see in the picture.

Overall, this is a super fun game that’s great for helping children to improve their memory, plus it’s lots of fun for the whole family.
