I hope everyone reading this post today, had a lovely Christmas and that you’re all looking forward to the new year. Here’s wishing a wonderfully happy new year!
In the new year, January, to be specific, I will be taking part in RED January for Mind, the mental health charity.
RED January stands for: Run Every Day January.
As an avid runner, I enjoy nothing more than donning my running gear and heading out the door for a bit of me time.

What is RED January?
Mind have teamed up with R.E.D January as their official charity partner for January 2018.
R.E.D January is a brilliant way to kick-start the New Year, but by taking part I’m hoping to raise awareness and open up the conversation about mental health.
As such I’m asking for your help.
I’ve never run every day before, but I’m going to make it my mission to do that just in January.
How can you help?
I’ve set up a fundraising page on the Just Giving website. By donating you can help fund Mind’s vital work such as the Mind Infoline, the information and advice service, as well as the campaigning they do to make sure everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets the support and respect they deserve.
It costs Mind £6 to answer one call to the Mind Infoline, their expert helpline for anyone needing advice and support about mental health problems.
Every amount you donate will truly make a huge difference to someone’s life.
How to donate
You can visit my Just Giving Page online here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/emily-higginsmind
Or you can donate via text by texting: IJLU78 £1 to 70070
I have a target of £100 and I’d really like to achieve this, so please help. Every penny counts.
Throughout the course of January, I’ll be keeping you up to date with my progress via my social channels. If you’d like to follow my progress, be sure to follow, like and subscribe to my social media channels.
Wish me luck!
Thank you for your support! It really does mean the world to me.

I hadn’t heard of this but it sounds very positive to start the new year, focus on your own fitness and raise awareness for a brilliant charity #thatfridaylinky
