Happy Birthday to Hubby!

Today is my husband, Nigel’s, birthday. Happy birthday hunny!

I just wanted to write a little something for you. I’d never be able to fit what I want to say into a birthday card, so I thought I’d share it here for all to see instead!

When I first met you, all those years ago, I knew there was something different about you.

You don’t try to change me or who I am, and likewise, I don’t try to change you or who you are.

We love each other because of who we are, and I think that’s a really special thing.

You’re strong and clever, although you don’t think you are, but you really are!

We’ve had many, many ups and downs, but we’ve come through those times together, when others have doubted us, and given up on us. We’ve always been there for each other and I know we always will be.

Over 10 years on, we’re married and have two beautiful children together.

You’ve given our girls, three wonderful siblings.

You’re a brilliant dad, the best, and you’re also a brilliant husband.

I love the little things you do and the funny habits you have.

I love that you’ve drunk your morning tea out of the same mug for as long as I’ve known you!

I love watching you with our children, but I also admire the way that you’ve brought up your eldest three.

Your relationship with them is one that I treasure, and I know it’s one that they treasure too.

You’re everything a dad should be and more.

I love that you sleep in between our girls every night, and leave me sleep in peace!

I love your attitude to life and most importantly I love you and who you are.
