Hair Care Tips for Busy Mums *
As a mum it can be hard to juggle all of the things that life throws at you. In between working, looking after your kids, keeping your home tidy and clean, as well as keeping up with the washing, packed lunches and food shopping, you have to try and find the time to look after yourself.
I like to look as good as possible. That’s not to say that I spend hours in the bathroom preening myself to within an inch of my life. I mean seriously, who has time for that? I know I don’t!
My go-to look is always with my hair down and straightened. Therefore a good hair styling brush is a must have! The only time I ever wear my hair up is when I go for a run. I like to opt for a simple make up look which is a bit of foundation, blusher and powder, as well as some eye-liner, mascara and lipstick.
Doing my make up in the morning is the quickest part of my routine. It’s my hair that takes up the most time. It’s longer than my shoulders which means it takes forever to wash, dry and style.
I simply don’t have time to wash my hair every day. I usually wash my hair every other day. On the days that I don’t wash my hair I simply blast some dry shampoo on it, run a brush through it, give it a quick going over with my hair straighteners and that’s it! A great alternative of course would be a wig or perhaps some hair extensions for some extra volume. Lilyhair UK have some great ones on their website.

Now, I’d like to say that when I wash my hair every day it’s in the morning, but some mornings I simply don’t have the time. What with the school run or getting ready for work, there’s just no time!
On a work day, I always wash my hair in the evening. I wait until the kids are in bed and then wash my hair, but as we live in a bungalow I can’t use the hairdryer because it’ll wake them up! Instead I wrap my hair in a hair towel and sleep with my hair wet in the hair towel.
I know people say you’re not supposed to go to bed with wet hair, but by wrapping a hair towel over your wet hair, it not only protects your hair from damage and knots, it also means that when you wake in the morning you’ll have lovely, fluffy dry hair!
Sometimes, I’ll twist my wet hair into a bun on the top of my head before putting the hair towel on as this means my hair will be nice and wavy in the morning, which saves me time styling it!
I think it’s fair to say that my hair is one of my best features. It’s an important part of me and when my hair looks good, it makes me feel confident. Sadly not everyone is blessed with the hair that they want. Hair loss is a big problem for some people, both men and women. That’s why a hair transplant is often a good way forward for them.
FUE hair transplants, which stands for Follicular Unit Extraction, is basically the modern technique of hair restoration. It’s a more advanced method of hair transplants than previous techniques.
During an FUE hair transplant, a doctor will extract hair follicles from the donor area (usually the back of the neck) and use a specialised extraction instrument. The follicles can then be transferred to the recipient are using a microscope in groups of one to four hairs, just as they grow in nature.
One of the benefits of this type of transplant is that it’s minimally invasive and has a short recovery time. To find out about FUE hair transplant cost simply click the link.
