Gifts for Harry Potter Fans

October 26, 2017

Harry Potter is a highly successful book series written by the well known J.K Rowling. I remember the first time I ever heard of Harry Potter. I was just 10 years old when the first book, The Philosophers Stone was released in 1997, and I thought that the magical, fantasy world of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry sounded incredible!

I couldn’t wait to hear all about the adventures of Harry, Hermoine and Ron! Although long, I was immediately drawn into The Philosophers Stone book, and over 20 years on, I still own the book along with many others!

My children, who are just five years old, also love Harry Potter. Like any new film that’s a bit scary, they were a bit wary at first, but now they’ve watched it a number of times Lord Voldemort, the dark wizard, doesn’t seem anywhere near as scary to them as they’d first thought!

They especially love Harry Potter with his big, round glasses, geeky manner and his bravery when faced with the darkness! Hermoine is also a firm favourite as a main female role.

Of course Harry Potter was just 11 years old when he first discovered that he was a wizard. As you can imagine our girls can’t wait to grow up to find out if they’re wizards too!

With Christmas approaching I’ve been looking to treat myself to some Harry Potter themed goodies. I’ll have to hide them from the kids though or else they’ll nab them!

I found some great Harry Potter themed goodies online from Hawkin’s Bazaar. Hawkin’s Bazaar sell a range of unique toys, games, gadgets, crafts and puzzles. With shops on the high street and online, shopping with them couldn’t be easier.

I’ve recently started drinking coffee. It’s never really been my thing. I was more of a herbal tea girl, but nowadays I’m very much partial to a caramel latte or a double choc mocha! That’s why I love this Platform 9 3/4 Latte Mug.

The extra tall height is perfect for a tasty, warm latte on a cold morning. I also love the big handle!

Now, I couldn’t get a mug without also getting a matching bowl! This Hogwarts Crest Bowl features the iconic school crest. It’s a deep bowl meaning it’s perfect for cereal and soups!

The rear of the bowl features the Harry Potter HP emblem making it a must have for fans of the films and books!

I also found this Patronus heat change mug. This awesome heat change mug displays the words ‘Expecto Patronum’ on the side, but when it’s filled with a hot liquid, the dark shroud falls to reveal a magical guardian in the form of a stag!

As my girls would say, “it’s magic!”

I do get to drink out of my mugs now and again, but as I didn’t do a very good job of hiding them, our girls have claimed them as their own!

Thankfully, the bowl is all mine, ha ha!

Are you a Harry Potter fan or do your kids like Harry Potter? I’d love to know!

For the purpose of this review I was sent the above products. All views and opinions are 100% my own.
