Disclaimer: I was gifted four ZURU OOSH Potions Slime Surprise for this review. All views and opinions are 100% my own
Ever since my girls first saw ZURU OOSH Potions Slime Surprise on TV they have longed for them! Little did they know that I knew we would soon be receiving some to review.

New Potions Slime Surprise from ZURU OOSH adds a dash of magic to DIY slime making. There are 4 different magic potion bottles, each with two surprise potions to create inside – from the BFF’s Elixir to the Enchanting Potion.
We were very lucky to receive all four potion bottles. Each bottle is a different colour with two different potions inside to make.

The packaging shows all 8 magic potions to collect.

In addition to how to make the potions.

Each bottle is brightly coloured, shimmery and has a tag on showing the names of the potions you can make.

We were a tad confused as to how to open the bottle. At one point we even managed to take the (plastic) ‘cork’ from the top of the bottle off before we realised that wasn’t right!
All you need to do is remove the two outer layers of plastic and then just remove the bottom half of the bottle which becomes the bowl you use to make the potions in. I will add that I think it’s a shame so many toy manufacturers use so much plastic packaging. Hopefully this is something that will change soon.

Inside each bottle you’ll find everything you need to make the potions.

Included are two bottles to keep your slime potions in, a glow in the dark mixing wand…

…packet of sweet seashells liquid glitter, magic dust…

…three packets of magic mermaid surprise beads, three packets of magic unicorn surprise sparkles…

…and a packet of seashell spell activator. Each bottle also comes with easy to understand instructions on how to make each potion.

Making the potions was really easy and lots of fun. All you need from home is a measuring jug and water! One of the potions in each bottle requires you to use 60ml of water which is mixed with the magic dust. The other potion, you just need to use the liquid glitter and spell activator.
The glow in the dark magic wand mixer is a fun addition, even if my girls did use them upside down to start with!
Once you’ve decided on your spell and mixed the first part together, the fun really starts! One of the potions requires you to use the three magic mermaid surprise beads and for the other potion you use the three packets of magic unicorn surprise sparkles.

As you can see from the photos above, the three packets included super cute and colourful fuzzy balls, sparkly glitter and a strange crumbly substance for some more texture.
You can probably tell from M’s face in the photo below that she absolutely loves her slime!

It’s colourful, it’s stretchy, full of different textures and surprisingly mess free!

M loved squishing it in her hands and listening to the funny sounds it made.

She also enjoyed spreading her fingers out to stretch the slime!

R’s slime potion reminds me of the ocean because of it’s colour and the different things inside it.

She loved the ‘pearls’ as she called them, as well as the tiny glitter stars and the big blue sequins. Much like M, R loved squishing and spreading her slime potion in her hand too!

The slime potions above were both clear and see through whereas the other slime potions were the opposite. These are the ones that you need to mix with 60ml of water. Handy hint: If you add too much water that your slime is too sticky, add some cornflour to thicken it back up!

I love all of the different things included that can be mixed with the slime potions. The colourful stars remind me of cake decorations!

As you can see from the photo below, this slime potion is different from the clear slime potions above.

As mentioned above we received four bottles so we were able to make even more slime.

This yellow slime is fun and stretchy and look how colourful it is!

I really like the bottles that come with these. They’re great for storing your slime potions in so that you can play with them again and again!

They also look pretty cool on my girls bedroom shelf!

At just £13 for one bottle, available from Tesco I think that’s very good value for money. We spent a good few hours making the potions and playing with them. Throughout the day my girls kept going back to them and playing with them! We absolutely love them!
