Get your #HolidayHype on!

In just a few weeks time, we’ll be jetting off on holiday as a family of four. Of course we have been on holiday just the four of us before in the UK, but this time it’ll be our first family holiday abroad as a foursome.

I think it’s pretty fair to say that we’re all really excited. Our twins are four years old and they’re very used to going on holiday, both in the UK and abroad. However, I think this holiday will be extra special. We won’t have to worry about what other members of our party are doing. We can just please ourselves!

Did you know in a recent YouGov survey it was found that only 31% of people get excited when packing for holiday. More alarmingly, 1 in 3 women worry about their weight every day that they’re on holiday. 

I don’t think a holiday should be like this at all. A holiday should be about getting away from body image pressures and onto getting excited about your actual holiday. Don’t you think so?

That’s certainly what Europa Pharmacy thinks. They’re trying to change the beach-ready conversation from weight and image worries to getting excited about getting out into the sun. You can get involved in the conversation on Twitter by using the hashtag #HolidayHype. 

In the run up to our holiday we build up our hype in many different ways. The first of which is to buy new holiday clothes! You can’t go on holiday without buying new clothes right?!

Our twins bought an array of shorts, sandals, hats and new bathing suits, as well a couple of hooded towels. I treated myself to some new dresses and my husband bought the entire contents of Holister! Well, almost!

I also have an app on my phone that counts down the days until we go away and also tells me what the weather forecast its.

Another way that we get our #HolidayHype on is by checking what excursions we can go on. We’ve never been on one before whilst on holiday, but now that it’ll just be the four of us, this is our chance! There are quite a few we fancy including a water park and an animal park. The hard part is deciding which one to go on!
