AD| Competition! The Christmas Present – Book and Gift Set Review and Giveaway
I was compensated for my time in writing this review and also received one Gift Boxed version of The Christmas Present. All views and opinions are 100% my own.
Christmas is such a wonderful time of the year. For me it’s all about seeing the joy it brings to children. It’s a time where families come together and enjoy one another’s company with good food and good company.
Naturally children delight in receiving gifts from Santa Claus, friends and family. That’s why I want to introduce you to The Christmas Present and also offer my readers the chance to win their very own The Christmas Present Gift Box, but first, the author of The Christmas Present, Alexander McCabe will be in on tour and signing books in WHSmith throughout November and December. You can view which stores are taking part here.

The Christmas Present is a book written by Alexander McCabe for his son, Gabriel. The gift box version is beautifully presented and includes a copy of the book, as well as a snow globe.

Did you know that at the very moment you were born Mrs Claus allocated you an elf? It’s true! Your very own elf who watches to see when you have been naughty and nice. Every year, just before Christmas, your elf reports to Santa and Mrs Claus so they can decide what presents you can have from your list.
Yet there are some people who don’t believe in Santa. I know, it’s crazy…but it’s true! Once they stop believing in Santa, then their elf is banished from the North Pole and only allowed to return when they start believing in him again.
Gabriel the Elf is worried. His child is beginning to think that Santa isn’t real. He doesn’t want to be sent away from all his friends at the North Pole, but what can he do? There is only one thing he can do…
He must prove Santa is real.
As well as being an incredibly well written and engaging story, The Christmas Present is also beautifully illustrated.

Not only would The Christmas Present make a wonderful gift for any child, it’s also unique because:
- Mrs Claus allocates every child their very own elf the minute they’re born, including you!
- Your elf shares the very same name as you.
- When you stop believing in Santa, your elf is banished from the North Pole to the South Pole.
- Your elf can only return to the North Pole once you start believing in Santa again.
- Gabriel the Elf uses a snow globe to teleport his child Gabriel to show him the true meaning of Christmas.
- Introducing Gladys the Reindeer – one of the world’s first female reindeer – and the happiest of all Santa’s reindeer. So happy, in fact, that she even has “GLAD” in her name!
The Christmas Present is 66 pages long so it’s definitely a story to be read a bit at a time in the run up to Christmas for young readers, but I’m sure older children would happily sit and read it all in one sitting.
The Christmas Present is available to buy on Amazon here and also in WHSmith. The author, Alexander McCabe will also be invited into WHSmith stores this year for a book signing.
