Brilliant Mum Feature

This week our brilliant mum feature is Paige who blogs at Paige’s Preferences. Paige is a 26 year old mum to two gorgeous boys. Lawson, who is almost 2 and Oscar who is 4. Paige is engaged to Daniel and says that he’s been her best friend and soul mate for 7 years. Paige enjoys reading, walking, arts and crafts, and blogging of course!

Thanks for taking part Paige!

Have you always wanted to be a mum?

No! I had a bad childhood and pretty much looked after my brothers and didn’t have much of a childhood so I think that worried me a little, however when I found out I was a mum and had them its the best thing ever, my first son saved me!

How did you feel when your children were born?

I had easy births I think although they were big babies, Oscar was 9lb 7 three and a half hours just gas and air I did have to be cut and sewn though as his head got stuck! Lawson was 10b 11 and 2 and a half hours just gas and air.

What have been your most rewarding experiences so far as a mum?

The moment they say I love you, when they just look at you and smile, knowing you’re doing a good job!

What are some of your funniest moments to have happened to you as a mum?

How long have you got haha? Oscars funny random outbursts when people around us can hear! His come backs! When your almost two year old shouts dad to every bloke they see in town, not awkward at all haha.

Have there been any situations with your children that you have found difficult to cope with?

On the daily haha! Oscars at a funny age now where he just refuses to do things and listen its so frustrating but I always cope, considering Dan works away a lot I think I do alright haha.

What are your dreams and hopes for your children?

For them to just be happy and accept themselves for who they are and don’t let anyone tell them they can’t do something. I’ll be there every step of the way.
