How do you make sure you always have the most recent maps?
If you want to update the Navigation Pro in your Land Rover, you first need to set-up an account via the Land Rover website. Once you have done this, there is a section on the account that is titled Maps & Services. All you need to do from here is download the map that you are interested in, and it can then be transferred to your vehicle. To do this, simply use a USB stick.
If you have purchased a model that was built from 2017 onwards, Map Care will have been included. This is a feature that will give you map updates for free on a monthly basis. You can download this throughout your entire warranty period.
You may also want to download the InControl Touch Map Updater. This is something that you can also download with ease via the Land Rover website, and it is compatible with both Mac devices and Windows PCs. This is going to keep you informed on map updates. Whenever there is a map update for your vehicle, you will be notified. This means that you do not have to keep manually checking for any map updates that are available for your car.
Whenever there is a map update, you can download and purchase the relevant map. Once you have downloaded it, you simply need to transfer it to the SD card in your vehicle and then make the relevant update to your vehicle’s InControl Navigation system. You will also get map updates twice per year on your Touch infotainment system.
Not only is Touch available, but there is also Touch Plus. Depending on the type of vehicle you have, this may be available for your model. You can either order it via DVD or USB stick. Not only should you make sure you update all of the tech, but you need to purchase the right tyres for your Land Rover as well. Make sure you opt for quality tyres that are right for your vehicle, otherwise you could run into problems.
